I wonder what these people's grandchildren are going to say to them, and what they'll say back. And I suppose the answer is "nothing," because soon no one will admit to having fought against the recognition of climate change. The kids will be told, at most, "Grandpa worked for an oil company."

Sigh. The cynic in me says that there will always be some group who can't admit to being wrong about something and will still be in denial re the human contribution to global warming. No matter how much evidence there is, no matter how many facts are thrown at them, they'll still believe it's all part of a natural warming / cooling cycle and we puny humans can't possibly have any impact on that, blah, blah, blah. "It's 'real,' but it's not our fault, so I can continue my lazy, greedy, self-centered ways."

I'm sure there must be some who have that niggle of doubt at the back of their mind, Okay, I guess it *is* true but I'll bet they're minimizing their guilt at ignoring/denying it for so long by rationalizing that by the time their kids are grown, their grandkids are grown, surely by then 'science' (for those that believe in it) will have found a solution. *Sigh.* I'm so tired of people...

I know I need to replace that icon, but it's quite appropriate for this post.

You mean they're a bunch of liars? Surprise, surprise.

There has never been an article in a peer-reviewed scientific journal arguing that global warming isn't happening. The "controversy" was bought and paid for by the oil industry, has always existed only in the popular press, and is for consumption by people who are too stupid to understand the difference between fact and opinion.

It makes my blood boil.
